Title: Glass Bead Merchant ID Artist: AJGlass Image created by: AJGlass using a Panasonic DMC-LZ7 Lumix 7.2 MP camera and PhotoShop. Medium: Glass Type: Soft Glass, 104 Coefficient of Expansion (Moretti/Effetre, Vetrofond, Lausha) Description: Glass Beads and LEGO Minifigure Details: The LEGO Minifigure provided is for scale of the beads. Transparent Light and Dark Grass Green, Transparent Light and Dark Windex Blue, Transparent Emerald Green, Transparent Blue, Light Turquoise, Violet Pastel, and Black glasses were used to create these beads which have been annealed in a kiln. These beads took from 4 to 8 minutes each to make and 18 hours to anneal. No image color correction was necessary. Notice: This image has been resized and resubmitted to my gallery as my Deviant ID. I should have done this a long time ago when you first suggested it. -- glass images glass studio images photography images I always encourage advanced critique on all of my deviations. I want people to feel that they can leave any kind of critiques or comments about my work - good, bad or otherwise - without feeling restricted. To me, advanced critique also means, "comment as you will" with an emphasis on more detailed comments.
The LED idea sounds cool, though it would not be representational of what the beads typically look like in real life - which kind of is the point: To show my work as it appears offline. I'm aiming for realism as much as possible. This is especially true with pieces that I'm selling. -- glass images glass studio images photography images He's got reason to be: big beads - by proportion to himself.
